Glen Rock is a beautiful suburban town located in close proximity and a short commuting distance from New York City. The town of Glen Rock has a population of approximately 11,000. It is an active community in Bergen County that offers its residents an excellent school system, a variety of shopping and dining options and many parks and recreational activities.

Glen Rock enjoys well-kept neighborhoods, beautiful parks and a primarily residential community. Parts of the borough have been filmed for commercials, television shows and movies, including the popular TV show Ed and the Oliver Stone Film World Trade Center. There are many shopping, dining and recreational options offered throughout Glen Rock and all of Bergen County, as well as the borough’s close proximity to the world-renowned cultural and entertainment activities in nearby New York City. Glen Rock is conveniently located in close proximity to many major roadways and offers public transportation by bus or train to New York City and beyond.

The Glen Rock Public School District excels in both academics and athletics. The district consists of six schools, including four kindergartens through fifth grade elementary schools one middle school, and Glen Rock High School, which consistently places in the top 50 public schools in the state of New Jersey. Over 90% of students in Glen Rock continue on to a two of four-year College upon graduation.

In recent years, Glen Rock’s football team won five consecutive state championships and the girl’s soccer team has been a successful team in New Jersey for over a decade.
